  4. | This program requires an input file containing 'CHESS MOVES' statements.   |
  5. |                                                                            |
  6. | When invoking CHESSRP3 without giving the name of a 'CHESS MOVES' file on  |
  7. | the command line, the program MENU is displayed.                           |
  8. |                                                                            |
  9. | Use a single character to select various options as explained on MENU.     |
  10. |                                                                            |
  11. | Chess Moves files are assumed to be suffixed with the characters '.CHX'.   |
  12. | When TRUE, file names may be entered without this suffix.                  |
  13. |                                                                            |
  14. | Use the 'UP ARROW' and the 'DOWN ARROW' keys to move CHESS PIECES on board.|
  15. | Alternately, keys 'd' (for down) and 'u' (for up) will do the same thing.  |
  16. |                                                                            |
  17. | Terminate a GAME prematurely by pressing 'Esc' key.                        |
  18. |                                                                            |
  19. | Program checks the validity of CHESS MOVES only if necessary to determine  |
  20. | which CHESS PIECE to move.                 ----                            |
  21. | If such a determination cannot be made, program will end with an ERROR     |
  22. | condition.                                                                 |
